Biography
Princess Eud (Eunide Édouarin, born April 25, 1984, in Pétion-Ville, Haiti) is a Haitian rapper, singer and actress whose Kreyòl/French hip-hop took shape in the early 2000s. At 16 she cut a carnival track with Tribu de Job (2000), followed by appearances with ASRAP on “Ka madan Brino” (2001) and with LIVE JAM on the hit “Fanm se kajou” (2003). In 2007 she co-hosted the TV show “W’a Rap” on Télémax. She joined the Carrefour rap collective Mystik 703 in 2009 and appears on the group’s album “Décennie” (2009).
In 2011 Eud formed the duo Team Limyewouj with Ded Kra-Z and released the album “Limyè Wouj,” which includes collaborations such as “Sa se pwezi” (feat. BIC), “Fòk mwen fèt” (feat. Rutshelle, Zatrap), and “Rele polis” (feat. Shabba). That year the duo toured the United States, France, Cuba and Tokyo. Eud later launched her solo album “Eudomination” on July 13, 2017 (Team Limyewouj), featuring “Eudomination” (feat. Mikaben), “Caribbean Love” (feat. Ded Kra-Z & Admiral T) and “Map gade’w” (feat. Haitian Fresh).
Offstage she served as an ambassador in a 2012 United Nations awareness campaign against violence toward women, and in 2013 was tapped by Haiti’s Ministry of Environment for a national reforestation awareness drive. Her Team Limyewouj project “Jou pa m’” (2014) drew an Indies Live nomination for the song “Ede m’,” accompanied by a Haiti tour that stopped in Jérémie, Cap-Haïtien and Petit-Goâve. In 2014 she launched the EUD Collection fashion line blending karabela and African fabrics; in 2015 she took a lead role in the film “Suspicion,” and performed at Pop Montréal (Canada), a Denton festival in Texas, and Youbloom LA.
In 2016 Eud and Ded Kra-Z performed at the Urban Kreyol Festival in Martinique and Guadeloupe (alongside Maître Gims), and in April 2016 she appeared at Atlantic Expo in Cape Verde. In 2017 she was featured in Admiral T’s video “My Queen,” and guested at his concert at AccorHotels Arena (Bercy) in Paris. She continues to perform internationally while developing projects that center Haitian culture and women’s voices.
